Using Acrobat 10.1.5, Windows 7(64-bit) with all latest updates.I can create PDF files (as I always have).Now, when I try to print a PDF, "nothing" happens. This is true of all PDF files, even older files that have previously printed.I have reinstalled HP drivers (latest from HP site)I have "reinstalled" Acrobat 10 Pro, selecting the "repair" option.I have verified that all other programs, including Word, and PrintTestPage all communicate with the printer, but Acrobat does not.Help? Suggestions?

Problem resolved. Needed to do full uninstall of printer (removed printer from "Devices and Printers"), then unplug USB cable, wait a bit, then plug USB back in. Windows then recognized the printer and re-installed its driver's properly.

Pleaae note I am currently using the driver Windows 7 proposed as a Windows Update a few weeks ago (used HP's original drivers before that but, at least under 64bit environment, the printer's properties always made the printer in Windows to crash).

- If you are doing a first time installation, i.e. after reinstalling the OS from scratch, it may well be that Windows Update is not yet proposing you to download the drivers. If this is the case, get them from the HP site (they've recently updated the Windows driver to include Windows 8 as well: download the smaller of the two drivers available). You will get an installer with a wizard for USB connection only. Don't worry, start the installation nevertheless as the first hidden step (the installer will tell you something like "updating system) is updating/adding the HP1022 (all version) drivers on Windows. Once this is done the installer will ask to plug in the USB cable: you can at this point cancel installtion

- depending if you are installing from scratch or re-installing, you will have now either to choose the driver from the printer's list, manufacturer HP and model LJ1022nw (this is the one added by the drivers downloaded from HP), or tick Use the driver that is currently installed. Note the second choice is the one to choose if you are re-installing the printer in case of the problem discussed above

- if you installed the printer from scratch and used the HP drivers, remember that although printing may work (even without disabling the bidirectional setting), the properties of the printers may crash. It may be that you will sooner or later be prompted by Windows Update to update the drivers. Do so and the properties will now work but the printer may start printing an infinite number of printouts (apart from the standard test page). If this is the case, just do the bidirectional setting trick as per above.
