Premium activation is a new activation option in Windows 10 which is for people who aren't tech savvy or don't have a backup device. Some people - like me - don't want to spend $7 accidentally buying a new Windows 10 license, but maybe they don't want to give up their license key or a Windows Media Player serial number. In that case, Microsoft has some plain English explaining when you activate a Windows 10 computer.
You can buy a license key for Windows 7, Windows 8 Pro, or Windows 8 Pro Enterprise from here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/buy/. If you want to buy a license key for Windows 10, you can go to the "Key Generation & Delivery" part of the website.
If you see an “Unlock your PC” entry when trying to link your PC to your Microsoft account, that’s your computer telling you that there are some fundamental changes that need to happen to make sure your PC is ready to go. You can start by selecting ‘Configure your PC’ under ‘Apps’ on the Start screen, then see if they leave a ‘Customize’ link in the top bar.
I'm sorry but I don't quite get you there. After plugging in the USB, I set up the boot order and reboot into the Setup. At the Setup of Windows 8, it suddenly popped out an error saying 'The product key does not match any windows image available'. I cannot proceed with the Setup and force to reboot. It is weird since it never prompted me to key in any product key at all.
a warning from windows 8. It says "a problem stopped my computer from continuing. I want to repair it and fix the problem. Press c to close this". I pressed c then did the repair. it was clean. Then i turn on again I had a windows 8 logo. then i type the key and then i can use the windows 8 normally.
Leave USB plugged in and just go to the PC and get to the screen that says: Press any key to boot from CD/DVD or from Hard Disk. I hit enter on my keyboard to boot from hard disk (i'm assuming that's what your trying to do).
The laptop will start using the installation media as boot from the hard disk. The only thing to do is to wait for it to complete the install. If you have the time, then you can set up your system to boot as a dual-boot. This time, install Windows 8 and leave Windows 7 untouched. d2c66b5586
