So, the logistics of it all: the Touch Me Gesture Studio app had been superseded by the Pega Studio app from Phigma. Hence, the app does not exist in the App Store or Google Play, but is still available on our website here: http://www.phigma.com/products/pe-studio
That's what I thought. I think it's possible that part of the connector plate moved out of the way, or broke, upon being removed. Maybe it could be re-cured very easily. The design of the plate is rather obviously not perfect, so this is not terribly unlikely. That is step one now. Step two would be to check if that same problem happens again in another week; and if not, begin surgery on the plate to fix it again. I'm not sure what the plate is made of, so it may be necessary to cut that slot out to secure it, before fixing the grounding pad. In the meantime, I need to send a message to Pega, and see what they say about this. I have a feeling that if I could fix that, the fault would go away. I guess we'll learn what they say in a week or so, and continue with step two described above if needed. Also: I have worked a lot in the past couple years with wireless modems, so I thought it was worth checking for some interference. I immediately noticed that the touch screen, when unplugged and plugged back in, would not register my touch only a minute or two after being plugged into the said touch screen... ie: the inductance of the cable is really short. I checked the cables myself, and they were fine. I did use the same cable to install the USB cable for the phone, so maybe one of those is the issue? This is all probably speculation now, but it could be a simple fix. d2c66b5586
