I'm looking for a program (preferably non-graphics) that will allow me to convert 48-bit images to 16 bit. I have a perfect v850 and I've been using Silverfast for some time, but I'm finding that the images are far too dark. I've looked into the Silversear program, which doesn't have a plug-in for my scanner, so I'm looking for something that might work with my scanner. I'd also like to be able to print the images, with the same settings. I also have a lot of film to scan, so I'd like the ability to adjust the gamma in the same way.

I have a Photomech Epson Perfection V850, and I have purchased the Silverfast SE Plus 8 software. I have loaded the software on my PC. I have also bought the Silverfast SE Plus 8 software. My question is can I use the Epson software and the Silverfast software at the same time?

I have an Epson V850 scanner and when scanning film (with emulsion) I want to have a more detailed scan of the film. I've already purchased the Silverfast SE Plus 8 software and loaded it on my PC. I have the option to adjust the settings for reflective scanning but the problem is that I have no idea how to manually adjust the settings for reflective scanning. I would like to be able to manually adjust the settings in case the software doesn't work properly. When I try to adjust the settings of reflective scanning the software says that the scanner is not compatible with the settings selected.
